Wenger - Brave Chamakh showed his worth
Marouane Chamakh

Arsène Wenger says that Marouane Chamakh's late intervention at Anfield showed why he will be a Premier League success. The striker's presence forced a mistake from Pepe Reina which secured Arsenal a 1-1 draw on Sunday. "Chamakh showed with the goal that he is not frightened to put his head and body in," said Wenger. "That is exactly what the League is all about and that is what we love here."

Wenger: Saturday was a big disappointment

Dear Supporter,

Saturday was a big disappointment because 0-0 is a very disappointing result for us. We were desperate to get the three points and in fairness the game was not a typical 0-0 because there were chances on both sides. I feel we had weaknesses defensively and offensively today but we continued to fight.

Fulham played well and, credit to them, they were the better side in the first 20 minutes. They created more movement but after that we slowly took over.

We always lacked a bit of sharpness to take advantage of our chances and I feel our passing was not quick enough to give them problems. But Fulham defended well and they've got plenty of 0-0s away from home because their central defence plays very well.

There are plenty of reasons for our lack of Premier League goals and one of them is certainly psychological. I think once it is a psychological problem it is very difficult to assess what is tactical and what is technical. At the moment the more I speak about it the bigger I make the problem.

I don't feel that we should look for the solution in the injured strikers like Eduardo and Adebayor because we had the same problems when the strikers were fit. We just haven't scored more goals recently. It is difficult to assess.

The good thing in football is that problems don't last forever and at some stage we will score goals. We have quality but on Saturday we were a little bit jaded physically.

After a Champions League game it is always difficult to win, that is why I believe we should have won the game 1-0 on Saturday. Then we would be perfectly happy. There is a lot of mental investment in the Champions League and we are not mature enough yet to prepare well and get the priorities right.

As for finishing in the top four, I don't want to speculate about that at the moment. Saturday's result doesn't help and it is certainly a big blow for us.

Thanks for your support.

On the pitchOn the pitch… Arsenal extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches but had to settle for a 0-0 draw in the North London derby at Tottenham, playing most of the game with 10 men after Emmanuel Eboue was sent off. To make matters worse, Emmanuel Adebayor was ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury. Elsewhere, the snow accounted for a number of fixtures with the Reserve team derby at Spurs, the Under-18s' clash with Crystal Palace and the Ladies Reserves' game at Watford all postponed.
Off the pitch Off the pitch… Andrey Arshavin gave his first interview in English football to Arsenal TV Online but the Russian will have to wait a little longer for his debut - he is ineligible for the Cardiff FA Cup replay. Arsène Wenger announced positive news about Tomas Rosicky's road to recovery while Emmanuel Eboue visited the Club's 'World on Our Doorstep' project in North London. Finally, Theo Walcott answered the fans' questions in an exclusive webchat on Arsenal.com, in association with EA SPORTS.
Wenger: ‘We have plenty of strikers here’
Arsene Wenger

Arsène Wenger is confident Arsenal have sufficient strength in depth to cope without Emmanuel Adebayor after the Togo striker was stretchered off during the North London derby. "Adebayor is out for three weeks with a hamstring but we have Carlos Vela, we have Nicklas Bendtner, we have Eduardo, we have Andrey Arshavin and we have Robin van Persie. We have plenty of strikers," said the boss. Visit our Match Menu for all the reaction to Sunday's North London derby against Tottenham.

‘They all looked determined and motivated’
The fans have their say

Wan Heo was happy with a point at White Hart Lane in the wake of Emmanuel Eboue's first-half sending off. "Our defenders were strong enough not to concede, Almunia did brilliantly, Nasri and Song did their job and they all looked determined and motivated," said Wan. "I also would like to point out Gallas's performance - he made many crucial interception, was dominant in the air and went forward when needed." Wenger: We had a resilient, committed attitude

Dear Supporter,

I believe we had a resilient, committed attitude in our 0-0 draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane and I'm proud of the players.

But I feel it is two points dropped because we had the best chances and we scored a regular goal that was ruled out by an illusionary foul seen only by the referee. I watched it three times on television and I still don't see what was wrong. That is why at the end of the day it's frustrating.

The referee has seen a push from Emmanuel Eboue but in fact it was Jonathan Woodgate who pushed him as well and then stumbled over Emmanuel Adebayor and falls down. If you see it again you see that it's nothing. It is not acceptable really, it is not serious.

I believe the person closest to the ball was the referee. He was in the best position and did not judge the push from Eboue, he judged the fact that Woodgate fell down.

As for Eboue's sending off, I believe that the first yellow card was very harsh. You have players who make 15 fouls in the game but don't get a yellow card. What he did was clumsy but the first yellow card was very hard. For the second one, if he has retaliated then he deserves a yellow. If someone saw that for real then he deserved to be sent off.

We deal with our problems internally and I want to first see the incident before I assess the situation. It was impossible to see what happened at the time because the ball had gone.

After Eboue's red card we kept playing with two strikers, we tried to win it and there was enough room to win this game. Tottenham created very little overall and even when we had 10 men they never really pulled us out of position.

We needed one or two saves from Manuel Almunia but overall I think we controlled them very well. What troubled us was creating because we were down to 10 men for so long and that's difficult to deal with.

On the injury front, Gael Clichy has had stitches in a head wound while Emmanuel Adebayor will be out for three weeks with a hamstring problem. But we have Carlos Vela, we have Nicklas Bendtner, we have Eduardo, we have Andrey Arshavin and we have Robin van Persie. We have plenty of strikers.

Thanks for your support.
